It might be recalled that Carmona residents had bitterly opposed the Reliance Jio tower erected at the same site without obtaining NOC from Panchayat which was subsequently show-caused by the Panchayat and also denied NOC for regularization under intense public pressure as the tower was in residential area.
Villagers and panchayat had petitioned the gspcb to withhold the Consent to Operate. However, the GSPCB in its letter dated 24-10-2016 informed panchayat about their decision to issue Consent to Operate despite the fact that the last site inspection scheduled by the Board could not be carried out as the premises were locked by the owner.
