They gave their nod for the construction of a junction on scientific lines. The delegation also took cognizance of the illegal parking of outstation trucks at the traffic circle, posing danger to motorists, especially two-wheeler riders. rAfter the inspection, the Margao MLA said that PWD will finally tender the work of constructing the Aquem Power House traffic circle at a cost of Rs two crore. r“The proposal has received administrative approval and work on tendering the work should take place by July end,” Kamat said, adding that PWD has prepared a plan wherein the Aquem Power House junction and the nearby Rawanfond junction will be developed simultaneously on scientific lines. r“The PWD’s plan has found favour with TCP, architects and others. It would be tendered shortly,” he said.
Aquem crossroads to get modern junction
There’s a ray of hope that the long-neglected accident-prone Aquem Power House traffic intersection will be finally put in place with a junction to be constructed on scientific lines.
