Architects in Goa and beyond will debate the issue of ‘housing’ including issues on Goan housing, gated communities, Goan villages (hamlets) and heritage housing during a one-day symposium organised by the Goa Chapter of the Indian Institute of Architects.
The sessions which begin at 2pm on March 20 at the Maquinez Palace will see presentations by noted Architects, Tallulah D’Silva, Anoop Gadgil, Ashish Rege, Arminio Ribeiro, Milind Ramani and Ameet Sukhtancar,” IIA Goa Chapter Manguesh Prabhugaonkar said.
The symposium is expected to shed light on the challenges facing the housing industry in Goa and especially the changing styles that are often a cause of social tension in Goa manifested through protests and opposition to complexes rising up in once laid-back Goan villages.
