The Additional Sessions Judge at the Sessions Court reserved its verdict till May 19 in the Naresh Dourado murder case which was reported in Vasco in the year 2010.
The murder had ocurred between August 1 and 2, in 2010 at Chicalim-Vasco and the suspect, one Snehal Dias (24), was arrested after a month, on September 1. He is been in custody since then.
The suspect had murdered the deceased with a knife and had reportedly used a total of five knives to commit the murder. After committing the murder, the suspect had committed theft of laptop, ram, mobile phone, foreign currency, camera, hard disk and other items. The suspect had also fled with the victim's car.
After cross-examining a total of 54 witnesses in this case leading to final arguments, Public Prosecutor Adv Subhash Desai had pointed out that quite a number of items reportedly stolen in this case had been recovered by the police pursuant to the interrogation of the suspect.
The Public Prosecutor argued that the suspect be convicted for offence committed under Sections 302 and 380 of IPC.
After hearing arguments of the prosecution and the defence, the Court reserved its verdict till May 19.
