Arlekar is in a confused state of mind: FORCE

FORCE secretary Savio Lopes further said that those who are issuing statements against Arlekar must resort to concrete action on the MoI front and not make statements to draw sympathy from parents demanding grants to English schools.
Asked to react to the row triggered by Arlekar’s statement on the MoI imbroglio, Savio said parents are not sure whether what is happening is part of a drama enacted in accordance with the BJP script.
“How can Arlekar make the statement when his own party and Cabinet has favoured continuance of grants for English medium schools?” he asked.
Throwing an open invitation to Arlekar to a debate with FORCE on the issue, Savio also dared BBSM core member Uday Bhembre to come for a debate instead of issuing statements through the media.
Apparently referring to the statements made by Fisheries Minister Avertano Furtado and Velim MLA Benjamin D’Silva against Arlekar, Savio said, “Those who are making statements should instead act to get their promise made to the agitating parents at Azad Maidan honoured. We are not interested in verbal assurances and sympathies from anyone. We want concrete action from those who had promised to get the MoI Bill passed in the Assembly,” he asserted.
