Close to 400 dogs in Cavelossim and Carmona were vaccinated for rabies at a well-attended camp organized by the Lions Club of Cavelossim and sponsored by Village Panchayat of Cavelossim on Sunday.
The Chairman of Region VIII of Lions Club International Ln Sameer Surlaker was the Chief Guest at the function.
Lions Club of Cavelossim has been carrying out this need-based activity for the last 25 years, and pet owners in both villages look forward to vaccinating their dogs through the club.
The second-year running President of Lions Club Ln Serafino Cota and his team did a fantastic job in galvanizing the other Lion members and volunteers for the success of this programme. This activity has shown that great things can be achieved when people and organizations are united and work as one, informed Lions President, Ln Serafino Cota.
