Calangute police on Friday night arrested one Ashley Ronston Santos (28) r/o Arpora during a raid. The accused was found in possession of cocaine worth RS. 10,000. The police have registered an offence under section 21(a) of NDPS Act, 1985.
PI Jivba Dalvi informed that while his staff was on routine patrolling, information was received about illegal drug-dealing at Gaurawado, Calangute. Further on, the accused person was found moving suspiciously in the said area and hence detained.The raiding team consist
ed of PSI Girish Padloskar, Sitaram Malik, Police constables Dinesh Morajkar, Govind Shirodkar, Priyankesh Shetye and Swapnil Simepurushkar. PI Jivba Dalvi further stated that this is the second narcotic case booked in a span of two days.
