AAP Central Committee general secretary Ashutosh Gupta has stated that AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would visit Goa every month and stay on for some days to meet the people.

Addressing a news conference in Canacona, Gupta said the BJP had gone into panic mode ever since Kejriwal addressed mega meeting in Panaji.

“This, in turn, has also given rise to infighting and some MLAs going against their own ministers,” he said.

“It's in the public domain that Defence Minister Parrikar and not Chief Minister Parsekar runs the Goa government. People have started to talk vigorously about BJP's blatant failures.”

“When Keriwal spoke on drugs and other issues, the next day Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar argued otherwise by saying there is no drugs issue in the State. Days later, his very own minister Dayanand Mandrekar contradicted his chief minister's statement by stating that drugs is indeed a major issue and that, the government is helpless. Is there any better contradiction of a government within the government,” asked the AAP central leader.

Seeking to discredit the BJP party further, Gupta said the Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had implied that Parsekar was inefficient.

“Since ferry services along certain routes could not start in the State, Gadkari asked the media to question Goa's chief minister on the issue. How come a union cabinet minister is helpless to ask his own party's chief minister and instead, requests the media to question Goa's chief minister?” ridiculed Gupta.

He clarified that the 40 names that AAP had announced were only coordinators from the respective 40 constituencies and not AAP’s candidates for the 2017 polls. We have a process in place to choose and finalise candidates to contest polls,” he said.

Ashutosh also told media persons that AAP would expose the corrupt ministers of the BJP in the near future.
