Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat has said the attack on car of popular Goan actor Rajdeep Naik who criticised BJP Government's apathy to support the artist community is a direct reflection of undeclared emergency imposed in Goa to supress the voice of dissent.

He urged the DGP, Goa to instruct the police to take strict action against attackers.

Condemning the attack, Kamat urged Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and and Art & Culture Minister to support the artists of Goa who have really suffered during the pandemic.

“If the Government had listened to my suggestion and declared Economic Revival Package of Rs 100 crore, people of Goa including artists would have got a great relief. Unfortunately, priorities of the government are on wasteful expenditures”, he added.
