An attempt by two youths to steal a scooter in the heart of Vasco failed in the early hours of Tuesday.
A resident and social worker, Peter Andrade, said the incident was captured on the CCTV of Chase Chambers along Swatantra Path. “The suspects are seen climbing over the common wall between the building and MMC’s children’s park and then trying to make a getaway with the scooter. Their attempts failed as one resident turned up on his scooter and the youths walked away calmly before the resident could realise what was happening,” said Andrade.
“Residents have always complained that the Children’s Park has become a den of nefarious activities and elected representatives are only promising to improve the situation,” added Andrade.
