PANAJI
Auxiliary Bishop Simiao Fernandes, Fr Mario Souza, assistant administrator of the Archdiocese, priests and volunteers from Borda, Fatorda, Reis Magos and Panaji parishes participated in paddy cultivation at the archdiocesan fields in Reis Magos on July 5.
As part of its efforts to protect nature and preserve traditional occupations, the Archdiocese has been encouraging people to participate in traditional farming activities.
Archbishop Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao could not attend the event due to a prior engagement.
Several parishes under the Archdiocese have taken up similar initiatives to promote agricultural activities.
