BICHOLIM
The Bicholim Primary Health Centre (PHC) has begun an awareness drive in Bicholim town and villages about the need to spread vector-borne diseases.
PHC Health Officer Dr Medha Salkar said there are no widespread cases of malaria and dengue in the jurisdiction of the health centre, but appealed to everyone to take all precautions to prevent fever, diarrhoea, malaria and other diseases prevalent in the monsoon.
Dr Salkar informed that construction sites are being monitored by health teams and awareness is also being spread at various places where many workers gather in the morning.
Dr Salkar has appealed to people to maintain cleanliness in hotels, food parks, carts, markets and other areas.
