The state government will soon focus on the management of patients who have recovered from Covid-19 by setting up post-Covid Care Centres as per the National Clinical Management Protocol based on AYUSH. CM Sawant disclosed that the facilities will be set up by Wednesday in health centres manned by AYUSH doctors across the state.
AYUSH doctors will be trained on Monday and Tuesday to manage mild and moderate cases and also to deliver post-Covid care to recovered patients. “We have 130 AYUSH doctors under DHS and some also employed on contract basis,” CM Sawant informed.
Capacity of District hospital to be
increased by another 200 beds
PANAJI: The Health department has hinted at further capacity enhancement of the South Goa District Hospital by another 200 beds.
Speaking at the launch of the “Home Isolation Monitoring Kit” in Panaji, the Health Minister said that around 3,500 patients who are under home isolation stand to benefit from this initiative.
“As of today around 750 patients are taking treatment at Covid Hospitals, around 600 are housed at Covid Care Centres while around 3,500 are under home isolation,” he stated.
