The girl had claimed that she was given something to drink by a maid at the farmhouse owned by Monserrate on March 8 after which she blanked out.
Adv Dhond, legal counsel for the girl’s mother and Rosy Ferros, both accused in the case said, “The final nail in the coffin is the question whether an unconscious person can place or receive calls and SMS because there are 24 call logs between 6 pm on March 8 and 9.09 am on March 9, when the girl has said she was unconscious.”
He also informed that the mother’s request to meet her daughter at Apna Ghar was turned down twice.
Calls varying in duration from one to two minutes and SMS were allegedly sent out and received from the number which was being used by the girl between 7 pm and 9.09 am, argued the defence lawyers armed with call logs sourced from a mobile service company.
The packed courtroom was informed that a boy has come on record to say he had spoken to the minor girl during this time.
