Back from Telangana, Khaunte says Goa too has IT talent pool

Says priority to create high-paying skilled jobs rrthe goan I networkrPORVORIM rrSpeaking to The Goan, Khaunte said the purpose of his Goa IT team visit to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh was to gain first-hand knowledge about key initiatives being taken by both the states for development and acceleration of start-ups, IT/Information Technology Enabled Services and EMC industries, policy frameworks created by both states to facilitate investment and enable ease of doing business, cutting edge and future generation IT projects being undertaken and best practices in e-governance. r“The team also sought information regarding some new initiatives of the Telangana government like T-works, T-fibre and Citizen 360 project. The Telangana team assured full support to the Goa IT initiatives citing a Memorandum of Understanding that was signed in 2016.” r“It was decided that full support on knowledge share, training opportunities and technology exchange would be extended on Telangana model projects sought to be customized for Goa.” r“The possibility of joint collaboration and financing certain new-age technology projects were discussed and agreed upon in principle. Further, the Telangana IT team also responded positively to Goa’s request for introduction to IT companies in Hyderabad that would be interested in opening development offices or R&D centres in Goa,” said Khaunte. Khaunte further said the Goa IT team also called on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. rDuring the meeting, Naidu shared his vision for IT and electronics and discussed several transformative ideas that could be used through IT enabled platforms for revolutionising government through use of technologies like Cloud, Drone, IoT and Artificial Intelligence.”
