Beer fiasco: Medical test of cops returns negative
The medical examination of the three police constables attached to the Margao PCR van, who were referred to Hospicio hospital following accusations that they had consumed beer, has come out negative, but Margao PI C L Patil has submitted a report to the Superintendent of Police to initiate disciplinary proceedings against the cops for allegedly procuring beer from a bar.

The episode has also raised the question of deployment of constables on PCR vans, with reports indicating that some of personnel have been assigned to the same vehicle for years together. While the medical report of the three constables late Friday night emerging negative, PI Patil said he has submitted a detailed report on the alleged indiscipline by the three cops for further action.
