VASCO
Himachal Pradesh Governor Rajendra Arlekar on Tuesday declined to comment on former Goa Governor Satya Pal Malik’s statements accusing the BJP government of corruption in the State.
When reporters in Vasco asked him to respond to Malik’s allegations, Arlekar said he was in Goa for a short visit and had also attended a meeting with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
"As far as the statement made by Meghalaya Governor Satyapal Malik, I have read it on newspapers but I don't want to comment on it. As governor, he is a constitutional authority and I am also a governor and share the same authority. Hence, it may not be possible for me to comment on statements made by him," said Arlekar.
“It is finally the decision of the state BJP and its office bearers to take a call and act accordingly as a party,” he added.
