BICHOLIM: Villagers from Bicholim and surrounding areas are making a beeline at the Bicholim Mamlatdar’s office to obtain income, residential and other necessary certificates required to get registered under different schemes, including food security.
The Bicholim Mamlatdar's office is always busy, as many people from in and around Bicholim visit to avail benefits of different schemes like Dayanand Social Security, schemes for widows, etc.
However, ever since the food security scheme was launched, the Bicholim Mamlatdar’s office has witnessed a rush. Villagers from Ona-Maulingem-Kudchirem, Mulgao, Kasarpal, Nanora, Pilgao, Mayem, Narvem, Surla, Sonashi, Karapur, Sanquelim, Digne, Pale and Velguem are thronging to the office to obtain income and residential certificates.
Meanwhile, the services of filing affidavits launched by Bicholim Mamlatdar Gurudas Desai for the benefit of the people have become popular as many poor and deserving people are getting benefits of it.
