Bicholim man dies in accident
BICHOLIM: A 29-year-old driver from Durigwada-Navelim, Bicholim, died after the four wheeler he was travelling in collided head-on with a bus near Katarwada-Navelim in Bicholim taluka late Sunday night. The bus driver has been arrested in this connection.
According to Bicholim Police, Ritesh Ghadi, who was working as a heavy vehicle driver in a mining company, was on his way home in his car (GA-04-C-5956). On reaching Katarwada-Navelim, his car collided head-on with an oncoming bus (GA-01-U-3222) at about 11.50 pm.
He was rushed to PHC Sakhali, but was declared dead on arrival. Police have arrested the bus driver Trimurtiraj Pednekar from Honda-Sattari under Sections 279, 337 and 304-A of IPC. PSI Amir Taral conducted the panchanama and is investigating the case.
