Car turns turtle at Bastora, two hurt

Two youth escaped with minor injuries after their car turned turtle in the fields near Menezes Lawns along the Moira-Mapusa road at Bastora on Monday.
According to the police, car driver Vishwesh Sawant from Ansabhat-Mapusa and his friend Sairam Vaigankar from Peddem-Mapusa were racing in their i20 car (GA-04-C-6367) with another car from Moira towards Mapusa.
Police further informed that Vishwesh lost control of his car and the car turned turtle in the nearby fields. The car was completely damaged, but the occupants in the car escaped with minor injuries.
The occupants of the other car removed both the injured from the damaged car and moved them to a hospital, from where they were discharged after medical treatment.
Police Constable Chandrakant Parsekar conducted the panchanama and the police is investigating the case.
