In a big boost to the Goa Trinamool Congress, on Sunday, over 300 youth workers from Cumbarjua joined the party fold. The induction ceremony was presided over by Goa TMC leaders Kiran Kandolkar, Samil Volvoikar, Mario Pinto, Francis De Tuem and Surendra Volvaikar.
In a press note, the Goa TMC states the considering the party is only a few months old in Goa, this is a huge political development that further reiterates the faith and credibility that the party has amassed among the people at the grassroots as well as in urban areas. This not only strengthens Goa TMC’s on-ground base of party workers, but also is a testament to the fact that the youth of Goa are fed up with the BJP-Congress nexus in the State, that has repeatedly betrayed the people’s mandate and led the State astray, states Goa TMC in the press note.
“The faith that these determined youth leaders have expressed in TMC is reflective of the party’s far-reaching efforts on ground to reach out to determined workers who share the party’s resolve to work towards the betterment of the State. In a similar joining event earlier this week, 38 leaders including ex-sarpanches, deputy sarpanch and several significant social activists from Cumbarjua joined TMC, TMC further states in the press note.
Upon joining Goa TMC, the youth expressed conviction in the party’s pro-people policies that are designed keeping the needs of Goans in mind, adds TMC.
