In anticipation of the upcoming parliamentary elections in Goa, BJP State President Sadanand Tanavade has emphasised the party’s commitment to ensuring a robust voter turnout.
Addressing concerns over low participation in the initial phases of polling in other parts of the country, Tanavade outlined the party’s strategy to mobilise support and secure at least 70 per cent voting across the State.
He highlighted the extensive campaigning efforts undertaken by party cadres, MLAs, and ministers in both North and South Goa. He expressed confidence in the response received during door-to-door campaigns, indicating a positive momentum for the party.
“We have finished two rounds of campaigning in both North and South Goa. We have been receiving tremendous response in our door-to-door campaign in both the districts. We are all working hard to ensure that people come out and vote so that at least 70 percent voting takes place on May 7,” Tanavade said.
The BJP President was addressing a news conference at the BJP’s North Goa District office in presence of Tourism Minister, Rohan Khuante, Deputy Speaker and Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza, Saligao MLA, Kedar Naik and former MLAs Dayanand Sopte and Siddharth Kunkolienkar.
Tanavade announced the upcoming public rally in Mapusa on Friday, May 3, where Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to address an expected crowd of at least 25,000 people.
He drew parallels with the successful rally addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in South Goa, stating expectations for a similar turnout in the northern region. In addition, Tanavade announced the release of a State-specific manifesto on May 2.
