All BJP MLAs, ministers and core committee members held a meeting with Gadkari at a starred resort in Panaji. This was the first meeting of Gadkari with the State BJP members after he was appointed as the State BJP election in-charge.
Speaking to media persons after the meeting, Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar said, “After being appointed as State election in-charge, this is the first time he is coming to Goa to hold a review meeting. The meeting with MLAs was comprehensive. Every MLA expressed his viewpoints. Additionally, organisational matters were also discussed. We discussed about every constituency and overall, all the MLAs have unanimously agreed to go ahead with the alliance.”
Stating that after taking over as the minister for Road Transport and Highways, Gadkari has sanctioned various projects for Goa, Parsekar said, “He has provided financial aid for the State through roads and jetties. His department has sanctioned nearly Rs 20,000 crore worth projects for the State.”
Meanwhile, Parsekar also informed that Gadkari has granted verbal sanction to the four-lane 4 km road connecting ESDM, Tuem and NH-17.
“He has verbally agreed to grant financial help to this project which will also have a flyover”, said Parsekar.
