While it remained silent on the election results in Himachal Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Goa Unit hailed the party's sweeping victory in its bastion, Gujarat.Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, who campaigned for the party in Gujarat, was among the first to take to social media to congratulate BJP's 'phenomenal victory.'
"The People of #Gujarat have trusted the vision of the Hon'ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji of all round development & the mission of Antyodaya once again. BJP's Phenomenal Victory in Gujarat illustrates people's belief in the party's ideals for the state. Congratulations to @BJP4India National President Shri @JPNadda Ji, Home Minister Shri @AmitShah Ji, @BJP4Gujarat Team, CM of Gujarat Shri @Bhupendrapbjp, BJP Gujarat President @CRPaatil and the Karyakartas for this stellar performance," he posted in a two-thread tweet on Thursday.
Minister Rohan Khaunte attributed the victory to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's emotional connect with the citizens as he tweeted, "PM @narendramodi Ji’s emotional connect with the People ensured a Thumping Victory to @BJP4India in Gujarat. People realise that there will be All Round Developmental Continuity under their very own #NarendraBhai and this Victory forms the Template for 2024."
BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade also joined the party leaders in congratulating the party. "#BJP has once again received blessings from the voters in the form of a thumping majority and has made a record of continuous Governance in #Gujarat under the guidance of PM @narendramodi Ji and @Amitshah Ji. Congratulations to Team @BJP4Gujarat, @Bhupendrapbjp Ji & @CRPaatil Ji." he tweeted.
The BJP Goa's official Twitter handle took the opportunity to slam the Opposition claiming people have restored their faith in BJP's honesty. "BJP's victory in Gujarat shows that people trust the values and work of the BJP over the lies and empty promises of the Opposition. Congratulations to the @BJP4Gujarat led by President @CRPaatil for its stellar performance in the #GUjaratAssemblyElection2022," it stated.
