Speaking after hoisting the party flag at its headquarters in Panaji, Naik addressed party workers and traced the party’s journey from the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, founded in 1951, to the formation of the BJP on April 6, 1980.
“Today, the BJP is no longer limited to just one or two MPs; it has become an inspiration for crores of people,” he said.
Naik said the party paid tribute to its ideological leaders, including Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Deendayal Upadhyaya, and honoured the sacrifices of grassroots workers.
“From the days of Atal Bihari Vajpayee to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this journey has been shaped by the dedication and sacrifices of karyakartas,” he said, highlighting the party’s ideology and commitment to the principle of Antyodaya.
Naik said the party now has over 15 crore digital members and more than 2 crore active members across the country.
He urged people to join and strengthen the organisation, calling it a party rooted in patriotism, nationalism and integral humanism.
Referring to the vision of a developed India by 2047, he said the push for an Atmanirbhar Bharat under Prime Minister Modi aligns with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s vision of a Swayampurna Goa.
“I urge all citizens to join hands and work tirelessly to fulfil our national resolve,” he said.
