Blood donation camp held

PANAJI: The chairperson of Bal Bhavan Kunda Chodankar inaugurated the blood donation camp at a function in Porvorim. The blood donation camp was organized in memory of late Devanand R Lolienkar in association with Indian Red Cross Society and Rotary Club of Panaji.

Guruprasad Pawaskar chairperson of Sanjay Centre of Education for Special Children, Kedar Naik, Sarpanch of Reis Magos, Radhika Sawant, Sarpanch of Penha-de-Franca, Subhash Chodankar, Subhash Kalangutkar, both ward members and others attended the function.

Around 80 persons donated blood. Sukesha D Loienkar proposed the vote of thanks.

MARGAO Margao Municipal Council’s door-to-door waste collection has gone haywire in some of the wards as the civic administration has been caught napping over the question of engaging daily wage workers to collect the waste from the houses.Inquiries conducted by The Goan has revealed there has been no door-to-door waste collection in ward Nos 7, 8 , 9 and 10 since the last four days.
