Body recovered from Morjim beach

A male body was found floating in the sea off Morjim beach. Pernem police recovered the body at Temb wada in Morjim and expressed the possibility that the man may have drowned. Police sent the body to Goa Medical College and Hospital for autopsy and efforts are underway to identify the deceased.

Fire along railway tracks put out at Khareband

MARGAOMargao fire brigade rushed to the area near the Khareband two-wheeler bridge on Saturday noon as the area along the railway tracks was engulfed by a massive fire.This is the second time in recent months that the fire brigade had to rush to the area after a waste mound was set afire.The source of the fire could not be ascertained.
