Margao fire brigade rushed to the area near the Khareband two-wheeler bridge on Saturday noon as the area along the railway tracks was engulfed by a massive fire.
This is the second time in recent months that the fire brigade had to rush to the area after a waste mound was set afire.
The source of the fire could not be ascertained.
