PONDA: A schoolgirl and a boy pursuing an ITI course ended their lives in their homes in Usgao. Ponda police are investigating whether both incidents are linked to each other.
While the girl committed suicide on Monday evening by hanging herself in her house, the boy hanged himself at his house on Tuesday morning.
The girl ended her life when she was alone at home and the body was found when her parents returned home at 7 pm. Hoping for some signs of life, the panic-stricken family members rushed her to the Primary Health Centre at Usgao, but she was declared brought-dead.
The boy was found hanging on Tuesday morning, after family members broke open the door of his room when he did not respond to their calls. Ponda police is investigating both cases.
