MARGAO
A free medical camp focusing on Breast Cancer Screening and Complete Blood Count (CBC) Testing was successfully conducted on Sunday near the Housing Board Office, Gogol.
The camp held under the initiative of Aam Admi Party vice-president, Engr Roque Virgilio Mascarenhas, was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. Vinayak Prabhudessai, in the presence of Dr Vibhas Prabhudessai (Porvorim), Babita Sadanand Naik, MMC Councillor, Gogol, Sunita Falarkar, MMC Councillor, Gogol and Cipriano De Souza, President, Holy Family Chapel, Gogol.
The inaugural ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a brief address highlighting the importance of preventive healthcare and early diagnosis of cancer and blood-related conditions.
This initiative saw participation from local residents in large numbers and was supported by SBI Foundation, YOUWECAN, and Beleza by the Beach.
The medical camp provided essential tests including Breast Cancer Screening, CBC and Haemoglobin (HB), Differential Count (Neutrophils, Lymphocytes, Eosinophils, Monocytes) and Additional parameters like MCV, MCH, MCHC, RBC & Platelet Count, and PCV.
In his brief address, Engr Roque Virgilio Mascarenhas expressed his gratitude to all the dignitaries, supporters, and healthcare professionals for making the event a success and reaffirmed his commitment to the well-being of the people of Curtorim Constituency.
