Brit found dead outside a bar in Chapora

A 41-year-old UK national was found dead outside a bar where he had gone for a drink in Chapora, Friday afternoon, Anjuna Police informed.

The deceased has been identified as Haskin Mikael of UK but presently residing at Harmal, Pernem.

Police have registered the case as unnatural death.

According to police, the deceased was sitting in an open space outside the bar having his drink. At around 2.30 pm the owner, as usual, closed the bar and went home leaving the foreigner to sip his drink. “When the owner returned to the bar in the evening, the deceased was found lying on the floor,” the police official said.

The 108 ambulance which was summoned pronounced him dead.

Anjuna Police have sent the body to the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim for post mortem.

Anjuna PI, Prashal Desai informed that the exact cause of death will be known after receiving the autopsy report.
