In swift action, the Maina Curtorim police have arrested the accused along with the Innova vehicle used in a burglary at Nuvem on January 11. The arrest was made in Jalna, Maharashtra.
The police had registered an FIR against unknown persons after Nuvem resident Sandra Fernandes complained that her house was burgled on January 11.
The burglars broke open the main door and stole gold ornaments and cash worth Rs 3.10 lakh.
During the investigation, a team was sent to Jalna. The team arrested Dipak Baburao Mendake, 22, a resident of Ramgavhan in Jalna. The police also seized the Innova vehicle used in the crime.
The accused has been arrested and remanded to five days of police custody.
