A bus conductor has been arrested for sexually harassing a student, Mapusa Police informed.
The accused has been identified as Anuj Mahenndra Pratap Singh (20) presently residing at Cansa Board, Tivim, but a native of Uttar Pradesh.
According to police, the teenaged student in her complaint said that the alleged accused has been sexually harassing her since she was in Class 8.
The complainant said that she was being harassed while travelling in the bus from Tivim to Mapusa.
Mapusa Police have registered an FIR under Sections 354, 354-A, 354-D, 506 (ii) of the IPC, Section 8 and 8(2) of the Goa Children’s Act and Section 4 and 12 of the POCSO Act.
Further during the investigation the accused was arrested in the case, police said
The team of Mapusa Police led by LPSI Rupali Govekar including PSI Viraj Korgaonkar, HC Sushant Chopdekar and LPC Tara Pednekar conducted the investigation.
