Calangute local held in ANC raid

Conducting its second raid in three days, Anti Narcotics Cell of Goa Police on Sunday succeeded in seizing two kgs of suspected ganja and have arrested a 35 year-old Calangute local for possession of narcotic substances.

Acting on prior information, the ANC team led by police inspector Suraj Halankar along with two panchas raided a spot at Agarwada in Calangute and caught the accused Abdul Razzak Mandal red-handed in possession of 2.050 kgs of ganja and one mobile phone.

The accused has been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
