CANACONA:
In a bizarre case at Karvem in Gaondongrim, a cobra started showing signs of uneasiness after it swallowed an empty soft drink bottle made of plastic.
After the locals reported the matter to the forest officials, an animal recuse team from Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary rushed to Karvem and rescued the cobra by helping it to vomit the bottle.
According to sources, a local noticed a cobra behind a residence struggling to move along.
Rescuer Gautam Bhagat, who rushed to the locality, realised that the cobra had swallowed something which made it uncomfortable. He lifted the cobra with a stick in an open place and later the cobra began to vomit the bottle.
It was then the cobra found itself at ease. Later, the cobra was taken to the Animal Rescue Centre at Hathipal in Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary.
