Camurlim woman commits suicide

MAPUSA

A 37-year-old woman from Camurlim allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a well on Saturday night.

According to Mapusa Police, the victim, Kishori Kesarkar, had retired for the night at around 10 pm. But at about 11 pm, the husband found his wife missing from her place.

Police said that about 3 am, the search for the missing victim led relatives to their well behind the house where they found her body floating. The fire brigade retrieved the body and sent it for post-mortem.

According to the police, the woman was under stress due to a family issue.

Mapusa Police has registered a case of suicide.
