Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) at Canacona has appealed to South Goa residents to enroll their children in the residential school and avail free benefits.
“Students who are enrolled at JNV, a fully residential, central government co-educational senior secondary institution affiliated to CBSE at New Delhi, are eligible to free lodging, boarding, uniform, text books, medicines, text books and items for daily use,” states a press release issued by JNV principal S Kannan.
The process of admission to Class VI commences in July/August every year, for which Class V students studying in South Goa District have to appear for an entrance test in January every year.
The process of admission to Class IX starts in March/April every year, for which Class VIII students studying in South Goa district also have to appear for an entrance test in June.
The entrance test for Class IX for the current year was also conducted on June 14 and the results are expected within 10 days, the press note adds.
