Canacona social worker highlights pending issues in memorandum to CM

Canacona social worker Shubham Komarpant submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant highlighting unresolved issues faced by the people of the Canacona constituency and requesting their resolution without further delay.   

Komarpant requested the Chief Minister to address concerns regarding the Reserve Forest and the threat of dislocation/displacement of people from Khotigao.   

Komarpant also demanded the immediate shifting and disposal of hazardous molasses stored in a vulnerable manner at IDC Shristhal to bring relief to the people and the environment.   

He also highlighted the need to provide proper infrastructure and teaching staff for government schools functioning in Canacona, while raising the issue of posting a regular PE teacher at Gaondongrim Government High School.   

Komarpant also raised the issue of the lack of proper rescue equipment for the Coastal Police and demanded the provision of a new speedboat for the Talpona Coastal Police Station. He also put forth a demand to build a gaushala for stray cattle found on the roads.   

On the occasion, Komarpant thanked the Chief Minister for providing an Aadhaar Updation Unit for Canacona.
