Cancer Day observed at school
PANAJI: JCI Vasco in association with Indian Medical Association, Mormugao Branch, observed the National Cancer Day on February 9, at Santo Minguel Higher Secondary School. The speaker for the function was Dr Rahul Ramakrishna, Medical Officer at Hospicio Hospital, Margao.
He informed students about what exactly cancer is and how this deadly disease affects the body. He also explained on the symptoms and certain precautions one must take to protect oneself from such disease.
Headmistress of the school Sabina Araujo also spoke on the occasion. The president of JCI Vasco Leroy Menezes welcomed. Shainaz Shariff, zone secretary was present. Sushant Vengulekar proposed the vote of thanks.
