CANACONA
According to a press note issued by Canacona Assistant Engineer sub divn III, the 11 KV feeders at Kindlem and Poinguinim will be shut down from 9 am to 1 pm on Tuesday (February 28). The areas to be affected due to this power shutdown will be at Pantem, Tarir, Rajbag, Ponsulem and Kindlem in Canacona municipal areas, and Welwada, Chiplem, Khawta, Parashuram Temple surroundings in Poinguinim village.
Similarly, on Wednesday (March 1), another shutdown will be undertaken on the 11 KV feeders at Loliem and Agonda, and the areas that will be affected are at Maxem, Dapot, Kolkon and Madditolop in Loliem village, and Kajumol, Molorem, Matvemol, Cabo-de-Rama and other parts of Khola village.
The press note further adds that a 33 KV CKT-II will also shut down for three consecutive days from March 2 to march 4, but added that no service areas will be affected.
During the shutdowns, the electricity department plans to carry the tree-cutting and trimming of trees which come in contact with electricity alignments. TGN
