Cuncolim Union thrashed Varca Sports Club 3-0 to storm into the semi-final of All Goa 26th Super Soccer tournament organized by United Boys of Dando-Colva at St John the Baptist grounds, Dando-Benaulim on Monday. Cuncolim Union led 1-0 at half time.
In an action-packed match, Cuncolim Union surged ahead in the 35th minute through Tedler Gomes. Buoyed by the lead, Cuncolim upped their ante and launched a barrage of attacks but their forwards ran out of ideas after reaching the rival zone. The match seemed to be done and dusted at this point as Varca lacked the will to fightback. Cuncolim Union bulged their lead as Frazier Fernandes made it 2-0 with a neat finish. Down by 0-2, Varca looked like coming into their own with some good moves but failed to have a clear look at the opposition goal. Daulat Dessai rounded off the tally in the dying minutes of the second half when he beat the rival goalkeeper with a rasping shot.

Panjim Veterans began on a positive note and took the lead in the 10th minute when striker Ramesh Palkar picked up the ball from his own half and bulged the net .Spuured by the eraly succes, Panjim Veterans tormented the rival citadel with ripples of attacks . Panjim Veterans doubled the lead when Ramesh Palkar 's stiff shot crashed into the net . Ramesh Palkar register his hatrick at the stroke of lemon break when he punted the ball to the far corner of the net,
Changing ends , Panjim Veteraans started off where they had left the first half and added three more goals .Digamber Gomes who was in thick action added his name on the scorerlist . Vicky D;Mello put the issue beyound doubt midway in the second half . Peter Rodrigues scored the consolation goal . Digamber Gomes struck second time to complete his brace .
