Four persons had a lucky escape after their car fell into a gorge at Dabolim on Tuesday evening.
Sources said there were four passengers in the car and while there was no loss of life, one passenger sustained fractures in both hands. Locals were quick to rescue the passengers and shift them to a hospital for further medical attention.
Speaking to reporters, Ward panch Nilima Naik requested authorities to immediately take remedial measures at the site.
“This is the second accident within a few months. After the first mishap, we had demanded immediate steps at this dangerous site which has a sharp turn and a blind spot. Tourists are not aware of this sharp turn,” said Naik.
