Mapusa Police arrested two persons for burgling a house and committing theft at Peddem, Mapusa.
The accused Sahil Sayanawale (23), a native of Karnataka, and Razak Mujawar (23), a native of Maharashtra, were apprehended on Monday.
According to police, the two accused entered a locked house by break-opening the main entrance door belonging to Dr Purushottam Pednekar near Sai Girls Sports Hostel, Peddem, Mapusa on Saturday last week.
The accused committed theft of valuable articles and cash from the house.
During the investigation, police gathered credible information and zeroed-in on the two accused and later arrested them.
Police have recovered some valuables and instruments used to commit crime from the accused. A police team led by Mapusa PI Paresh Naik carried out the investigation.
