A car driver and her daughter escaped with minor injuries when the car rammed into the rear of a cargo truck on the national highway at Kamarkhajan-Mapusa on Monday afternoon.
A truck was moving on the highway from Guirim to Karaswada, when the driver slowed down the vehicle and moved it towards the roadside.
At that time, a car rammed into the rear of the truck. The driver and her daughter sustained minor injuries in the incident. Other motorists passing by the highway went to their aid and they were later shifted to a hospital. The accident caused a traffic jam on the highway for some time. Traffic Police Inspector Marlon D'Souza and a team later went to the site and regulated the traffic. Police are conducting further investigation in the matter.
