PANAJI

A luxury car registered in Tamil Nadu rammed into several vehicles, including a two-wheeler and a tourist taxi, in a late-night accident in Panaji.

According to preliminary information, two persons, including a woman, were injured and were shifted to the Goa Medical College (GMC) for treatment. Several vehicles were badly damaged in the collision, which occurred on the road stretch towards Heera Petrol Pump near Divja Circle.

The impact of the crash was severe, with some four-wheelers partially crushed. One tyre of the luxury car was flung to the other side of the road due to the force of the collision. The two-wheeler was also damaged.

Police rushed to the spot and began an inquiry. As per eyewitnesses, the driver of the outstation vehicle claimed that he lost control after being dazzled by high-beam lights from an oncoming vehicle. Police said they would conduct an alcometer test on the accused driver.
