BICHOLIM
In Bicholim, a rickshaw accident resulted in five injuries, with three individuals sustaining major injuries, on Sunday evening. The incident occurred at Sarvan when an open rickshaw traveling from Bicholim to Sanquelim overturned.
The injured individuals, identified as Mustakin, Nadeem, Rasin, Ranjit Singh, and Rohit Rathod according to police records, were swiftly attended to by locals and the Bicholim fire brigade. They were then promptly transported to CHC Bicholim for medical treatment.
Sources indicate that the rickshaw, bearing registration number GA-08-V-4591, overturned due to the excessive load it was carrying. Following the accident, the Bicholim police conducted a thorough investigation and panchanama, while the vehicle was removed from the scene with the assistance of a crane.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway by the authorities.
