Activists Alwyn Jorge said the charter of demands have been presented to all seven candidates contesting from Benaulim constituency.
Various issues such as mega housing, bad roads, underground cabling, health centre, Anganwadi, MoI, rivers nationalisation, village football ground, children’s park, community centre, water supply, fish market, garbage, emergency services, free wi-fi, hearse van, dialysis facility, migrants, security & law and order have found mention in the charter.
He said the candidates have been informed to give their replies for their demands endorsed by over 500 villagers to facilitate the voters to cast their vote.
“While two candidates have already given their replies, others have been reminded of the same. Replies received will be put in the public domain for scrutiny and for decision making of the villagers,” he said.
Alwyn asserted that “Carmona is a swing village and normally the village swing decides the winning candidate.
