Benaulim Zilla Panchayat member Hanzel Fernandes handed over the power tiller to Cavelossim Farmers Association in the presence of panch members and the Cavelossim Biodiversity Management Committee.
Margao Zonal Agriculture Officer Sherriff Furtado and mechanical officer Viraj Desai discussed various issues regarding farming. Sarpanch Dixon Vaz, who is also the chairperson of the Cavelossim Biodiversity Management Committee pointed out that last year they repaired a bundh around three hundred meters, adding “this year, we will take up repairs of more bundhs and help the farmers to take up fencing and construction of wells.”
