CCP makes plea to GSUDA

The Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) has asked the Goa State Urban Development Agency (GSUDA) to provide it with four rickshaws for garbage collection under Central government’s ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’.

Pointing out that CCP is the first urban local body in the State to undertake proper segregation and disposal of garbage within its jurisdiction, Mayor Surendra Furtado stated: “It is learnt that GSUDA has provided rickshaws for collection of garbage to all the municipal councils in Goa with the exception of CCP.”  
Further stating that GSUDA has supplied 30,000 garbage bins free of cost, CCP has requested the agency to provide the four rickshaws.
