Chandrasekhar confident people will give another mandate to PM in 2024

MARGAO

Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Wednesday asserted that the mandate for the BJP in 2024 will be more emphatic than in 2019, exuding confidence the people will give yet another mandate to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make India an advanced nation.

After having several meetings with legislators of the BJP and allied parties and karyakartas from South Goa, the Union Minister emphasised the need to connect with the people at the grassroots.

“The neta (leader), Zilla Parishad and panchayat should work together to ensure access to benefits of Central schemes for every beneficiary in South Goa,” he said.

Saying the mandate for the BJP in 2024 should be more emphatic than in 2019, he said: “We have to work towards saturation of all central government schemes and take the message of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” to every Indian”.

To a question on the BJP importing the opposition legislators in Goa to increase its tally in the Legislative Assembly, Chandrashekar shot back: “There is no question of importing anymore. The party has welcomed people who have voluntarily joined the party to support development.”

The Minister also visited Shri Sumatinath Shwetamber Jain Mandir at Pajifond, Margao to pay his respects.

He also attended the inauguration of an art gallery which had on display a collection of Jainism-related items through Philately. He released a 2023 calendar published by the Ayyappa Sevasangham at a programme.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar, who is a devotee of Lord Ayyappa, completed his 26th annual pilgrimage to the hill shrine Sabarimala in August 2022.
